If we were living in a novel, yes, righteous. Considering reality, no, idiotic. Relations between the United States and North Korea have recently been strained even more than usual.
North Korea has an arsenal of WMDS. North Korea is highly volatile, and clearly doesn't have much respect for human rights. I can only imagine how North Korea would respond if the U.S.Sent a private militia to rescue prisoners considered by the highest court to be serious criminals.
Yeah, I think so, because people who don't want to be in a country have every right not to be, especially if it is as oppressive as North Korea. I would commend whatever people rescued them!
It would be as foolish as it would be for Laura Ling and Euna Lee to be anywhere near North Korea in the first place for whatever reason or excuse. Their actions have made an already tenuous relationship a little more unstable. To be sure North Korea will use them as bargaining chips when dealing with the world communities response to their testing of nuclear weapons.
The goal here however is to not let bargaining chips influence what should be the strongest possible response the world community is willing to make to a nation that has little or no regard for human life including its own. It's not a question of being "rightous". It is in fact a question will the world community have the courage to make a committment to insure that North Korea's behavior is not acceptable in the 21st Century. To date reality has yet to match the rhetoric of the world's political leaders past and present.

No sites - merely perception based on rudimentary knowledge of the genisis of the Korean conflict and the historical record of North Korea's behavior in relationships with other nation-states. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
