On March 17th, two American journalists - Euna Lee and Laura Ling - were taken into custody by the North Korean military. The two women were reporting on the trafficking of women along the border with China. Euna and Laura have been charged with engaging in "hostile acts," and their trial is set for June 4, 2009, in Pyongyang.
We call on the Government of North Korea to release Euna and Laura on humanitarian grounds. These women are wives, mothers, daughters, sisters; they are missed by their families and friends, who would like to see them safe and back at home. Laura G. Ling (pinyin: LÃng ZhìmÄ›i) (born December 1, 1976 in Carmichael, California) is an American journalist working for Current TV. She is the sister of Lisa Ling, who is a special correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show, the National Geographic Explorer, and CNN.
Laura Ling is currently detained in North Korea.
She is Lisa Ling's sister. She's in the news because she "accidentally" strayed into North Korea and is being held by their government.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
