Would you buy a nature photography book if it supported a specific cause?

If I liked the book, supported the cause, and had the money, I would definitely buy a book they were selling. If it was some cause that I opposed, even if it was "nature photography"--but was some negative part of nature or something violent against the animals in nature, however, I would not purchase it.It’s pretty simple--I buy what I like and what I support, and don’t buy what I don’t like or oppose! But in general, nature photography books are pretty popular, and if they are connected to and support a specific cause it’s even better.

Nature photography calendars are also popular! But there are SO MANY both books and calendars, the competition is probably pretty high. If I was the seller of the book, I would take that into consideration.

Yes and no I took your survey. As a Photographer, I am picky about what I buy, for me and my boys. As I want the images to be good quality.

And often the ones in some books seem to be pieced together and don't mesh. If the images are good and a subject I and or they like I would consider it, if the price is right. Being a single family income, $20 is about what I spend on a table book, and it normally comes from Costo, because a few of the boys saw it and give me those puppy dog eyes and then make all kinds of promises, that I know I really should get in writing, but... I and my boys love Wolves, as well as Sea Otter, and in general most kinds of wildlife.

But I also know that in many cases only a small % of what is donated to a cause actually goes to it and that is a concern I would have. Hope this helps. Any?

Maybe It would have to be on a subject I liked, and have very good photos in it. If was really good and was well priced, I would be interested. I and my son like all types of Marine Life, including fishes & sharks, also Polar Bears, Wolves, and colorful birds.
