Would you like it better if Project Runway didn't eliminate a contestant every week?

I like what balinesecat was saying- maybe if they were scored for each challenge and then the top 3 point winners go to fashion week. The last few seasons, the judges haven't even really been judging the fashion week finalists on their show at Bryant Park and have been thinking more about what the designer had shown throughout the season. So, if they're going to start judging like that, might as well let everyone stay on the whole time to get points and then eliminate everyone at the end.

I am a Project Runway fan, as well. I see what you are saying, the designers that get eliminated the first few episodes, we really do not get to see their work, I do agree with you. On the other-hand, I am not certain how they would be able to do the show without eliminating every week.

“As you know in fashion, one day you’re in, and the next day… ” you’re talking to reporters about the utter misery of being out! Don’t click through if you don’t want a SPOILER on last night’s Project Runway, during which the contestants had to design three looks incorporating leather and suede for Heidi’s New Balance sneaker line. Season 9?

S fifth eliminated contestant chats about the ins and outs after the jump. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Do you think that Anthony Ryan should have gone home last night instead of you? DANIELLE EVERINE: Yes.

Based on his garment, if they were just judging it by that, then yes he should have. There was a lot of inter-team squabbling last night. Do you think that that affected the overall result on the runway?

Well, I think that Josh’s team actually fared pretty well. Their collection made sense, although you could see that it was almost all Josh. With Anthony Ryan’s team, I think that it totally exhausted them emotionally.

They were uninspired creatively in turn, and didn’t really come up with anything good. Is putting a black lining against silk something that you’ve done before? Why do you think Michael was so horrified by your top?

I don’t know why he was horrified. It wasn’t that bad — it was actually kind of cool. Maybe just matching two different fabrics together he didn’t like.

In some ways I felt like they were all reaching for something to say negatively when really maybe it didn’t make that much sense or it wasn’t that bad. It’s hard to say what they’re thinking. They’ve given you a hard time before.

Were you offended when the judges agreed that your green blouse made your model look depressed in the Nina Garcia challenge? Yeah, again I felt like they were sort of reaching. The look wasn’t exactly what I wanted it to be, it’s true, but that’s what happens with these crazy time constraints.

I didn’t think it was that bad, and what they were saying… I didn’t feel like it applied to my look. I thought it was ridiculous. I felt like that comment was silly.

When you initially presented your designs to the judges, you had a sheer shirt printed with water buffalo that was really cool. If you had stayed in the competition would you have done more things like that, or would you have stopped using sheer fabrics due to the comments from the judges? I do work with a ton of different materials, including heavy wools and leathers and different textures.

The sheers weren’t working out very well because of the time constraints. Sheer fabrics are very delicate and difficult to work with, and I was able to be successful with the stilts challenge with Cecilia using a chiffon, but after getting those comments that they wanted to see something else, and the fabric was very ambitious to work with, so I think I would have tried some of my other tricks up my sleeve. How was it working with Cecilia for the stilts challenge?

Was she difficult, or did she have more of a competitive spirit back then? Cecilia is an amazing designer and an amazing seamstress. She was very frustrated being part of a production for a television show.

I think that she just exhausted all of her energy to the challenge we were in, really for my sake, because she didn’t want to let me down. I really appreciated that she was willing to work so hard for us as a team even though she didn’t necessarily want to continue on with the competition. What kind of themed challenge do you think you would have excelled in, had you been given the chance?

I definitely would have loved to do something vintage inspired. Maybe something with a musician or singer that really likes vintage inspired pieces. I think to show a piece like that would have been great.

You were surrounded by some large personalities. Were you happy with how you were portrayed, or do you wish you had done more to stand out? I think I’m more fun-loving than how I was portrayed.

That’s how I perform under extreme stress and no sleep. I was really nose to the grindstone, just working hard every minute. I couldn’t allow myself to get distracted.

But I think it would have been nice to show that I’m a little bit more carefree and fun and thoughtful than I was able to show under those circumstances.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
