One of the hardest questions This was really, REALLY hard to do. Here are my picks as I would put them in today, in no particular order: 1. Sweet Home Alabama 2.

Born in the U.S.A. 3. I'll Be Seeing You (yes that old song - It always gets to me) 4. Amazing Grace 5.

You've Got A Friend 6. White Christmas 7. Memory (from the musical CATS) 8.At Seventeen 10.

Crazy (Patsy Cline) 11. Freebird 12. I Will Always Love You 13.

Tennessee Waltz 14. Walking After Midnight 15. Silent Night Sources: my opinion and my ipod .

Laureth's Playlist (yes, she's really this lame...) 1. Some Kind of Stranger - The Sisters of Mercy. I found this group long after they broke up, but this is a kind of dark anthem about a scarred introvert who is still open to the hope of finding love.

For a while, it was the story of my life. 2. Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I was alone for a long time, and I sometimes felt more unity with the city I lived in (the streets, the land itself, the spirit of the place) than I did with any other people. 3. November Rain - Guns 'n Roses. It was the theme to a really bad breakup. I know it's dated and cheesy as all get out, but it reminds me of a time and place from which I've grown and learned.

It reminds me of how far I've come.4. The World's Wedding (One Single Kiss) - Emerald Rose. It's a love song about a pair of people who keep missing each other until finally they catch each other.

It was the theme song at my wedding.5. Anything For Love - Meat Loaf. Yeah, I'm a sucker for sweeping epic ballads, why do you ask?

:) And it absolutely needs to be the Long Version. Why play any other?6. Total Eclipse of the Heart - Bonnie Tyler.

Another masterpiece from Jim Steinman.7. 100 Years - Five for Fighting. Life moves pretty fast.

If you don't stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it. 8. Three is a Green Crown - Green Crown.

I used to see this band live, and it's a shame they broke up before many people heard their music. It's just an awesome song that's about 8 minutes long, and I used to put it on endless repeat, playing it until I went to sleep. 9.

Spirit in the Sky - Norman Greenbaum. Most people wouldn't suspect I'd like a song like this, what with it being so overtly Christian, but it's actually a pretty rockin' tune! 10. Mary Jane's Last Dance - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

Another one of those songs that just crystallizes a particular time for me. I just start tappin' a beat when I hear it, too.11. Solitary - VNV Nation.

This used to be the opening song for a radio show that my husband likes, and it grew on me. It's stompy and European. While I'm normally a lover of lyrics über alles, this is one song I love just because of how it sounds.

12. Closer to Fine - Indigo Girls. A song that defines the two years I went to college (the first time around).

I saw them live about five times, including once where there wa a lunar eclipse over the pavilion.13. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen. Yeah, I know it was overplayed after Wayne's World, but it's a classic.

I never got sick of it. Is there anyone that doesn't sing along when it comes on the radio?14. I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor.

Another timeless classic!15. Me & Bobby McGee (acoustic version) - Janis Joplin. I've only seen this song on one CD of hers. It's just a demo version, performed by Janis and her guitar, and she puts so much soul and feeling into it.

It's totally different from the lively version that everyone knows. Laureth's Recommendations First and Last and Always Amazon List Price: $9.98 Used from: $5.49 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 49 reviews) Emerald Rose Amazon List Price: $14.99 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 10 reviews) 18 Essential Songs Amazon List Price: $13.98 Used from: $2.51 Average Customer Rating: 4.0 out of 5 (based on 19 reviews) Three of my songs come from these three albums. The albums themselves are awesome as a whole, though, too!.

I'll see if I can narrow it down to 15, although it might be tough! 1. Nights In White Satin - Moody Blues 2.

Imagine - John Lennon 3. Sorrow - The Merseys 4.Do It Again For Jeffrey - Kaleidoscope/Fairfield Parlour 5. Runnin' Down A Dream - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 6.

The Load Out/Stay - Jackson Browne 7. Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan 8. Crimson and Clover - Tommy James and The Shondells 9.

Revolution - The Beatles 10. We Gotta Get Out Of This Place - the Animals 11. A Young Girl - Noel Harrison 12.

The Air That I Breathe - The Hollies 13. Let's Live For Today - the Grass Roots 14. Runaway - Del Shannon 15.

The Road Goes On Forever - Robert Earl Keene Jr. This was not as easy as it looked and I had to leave off a great many others, by limiting each artist to one song. And you'll notice, they all go back to the days when you could understand the words to the songs! After much consideration.... ...here is my list. The list itself is in no particular order. It was difficult enough to choose just 15 songs let alone try to figure out the order in which I love them.

Need to get music off of my playlist in I Tunes & onto my MP3.

I bought music for the first time on Amazon & while dowloading the music player my comp froze. How do I get those songs.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
