GlTexEnv sets things like how samples from a texture combine with the material colour. It won't do environment mapping. On fixed pipeline desktop OpenGL you'd probably use glTexGen .
There's no glTexGen in OpenGL ES.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
