Yes... in fact, I do. Not only do I believe in circulating the money locally, but I also believe in eating fresh (organic) foods.
Up to a certain point I will. Did you know that locally grown honey is said to help ward off allergies since it is made with the same pollens that are found in the air you breathe? I don't know all of the particulars, but there you have it.
Back to the topic. We are very fortunate in SW Michigan to have a wide range of fruits and vegetables available, as well as farm fresh eggs and a ham fresh from the farm now and then. Nothing is better than a dinner of fresh roasted corn on the cob.
I also love fresh asparagus and fresh berries. Peaches, grapes, apples, my oh my, you can't beat it. We buy all of our vegetables from roadside stands during season.
Considering that my country should be the source of produce and not an importer, their price should be lower than imported products. Produce grown here should also have higher quality since they should be fresher. The truth is, it is not always the case.
Imported fruits such as oranges taste far better with far lower price. I might not mind spending money for local produce if the quality is better than the imported ones, but I won't spend too much money to buy inferior products with higher price. I do try to use local produce and they are usually cheaper but I won't make too much effort to buy local produce which has higher price than imported ones.
The government should try to focus on farming more since this is our natural advantage. Our soil is so rich that if you throw a seed, in few months, you can get a fruit tree without trying. How come our produce is more inferior and more expensive than imported products?
Absolutely! Not only would I be willing to, I do. I love being able to buy produce locally.
Not only is it healthier and tastier, but I like supporting the local growers. They do such a great job. I cannot wait until summer, when I can get all the yummy fresh veggies and fruits that I have been craving.
Yes I do. They actually started a farmers market here by me about two years ago and I use it.
Actually, I would prefer to purchase local, for many reasons, and alot of items are actually CHEAPER than they are in the store! There are a few local farmers around that offer their goods. Peppers, apples, peaches and corn are my favorite to get.
They are by far better tasting and fresher. There are only a few local grocers that actually get their produce from the farmers in the area, so through the warmer months, we drive out and get it right from the farm. BTW, this is not me in this pic lol.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
