Potentially worth it For the superpowers, you just need to decide what you want to get out of Askville. If you enjoy answering questions, you effectively double your output when you use the coin multiplier. If you answer 5 questions, it's like getting coins for 10.
If you answer a steady stream of questions, you can make up the lost 200 or 2000 coins before too long. It took me a little over a week to earn back the 2000 coins I spent on the level 2 version. If you enjoy the discussion and feedback sections of Askville, then the Voting Authority power is what you would like.
You can cast votes in questions you didn't answer, and when you use the power, you're required to post on the Discussion board why you voted the way you did. You do not get extra coins for using these - so in that sense, those 100 coins are gone. Are the superpowers necessary or required to succeed or have fun here?
Absolutely not. Plenty of people on the coin leader lists don't have the coin multiplier power - or haven't even purchased it. There are a lot of people with the vothing authority super power, but it doesn't get used very much.
And since Questville is just a word at this point, the coins are just an intangible reward system to encourage people to come back to Askville.
Looks like you got Voting Authority L1 - enjoy your new power! Since the only power I can find for 100 coins is L1 Voting Authority, I assume that you just got that one. It's true that you'll never see those particular 100 coins again, but then again, right now the only thing to do with coins is buy powers, so from that standpoint, spending them might be better than nothing. As far as the specific power, you should use it to help the community reward good posting and encourage people to keep up the good work by finding L1 answers and adding your voice.
It is true that the voting authority does not directly benefit you by getting you any more coins, but it does give you the power to make a difference, which is quite valuable. When you vote on an answer from a question, you help decide the final grade that answer will receive. You also get the opportunity to tell each poster why you gave their answer the vote that you did.
This helps the community as a whole in several ways. By helping regulate votes, you lessen the impact of abusive voters - your ability to recognize and reward good answers encourages people who contribute quality to keep contributing. You also get the opportunity to show your expertise by voting in topics you are L1 or higher in.
You get the added bonus to yourself of being more visible in the community. When you use your voting power, the people you vote for and other people reading the discussion see how you voted. If you give valid reasons for your voting, you might convince others to vote to your standards.
If someone else sees that you vote particularly well, they might check out some of your questions or answers, and invite you to be on their friends list, or ask you to answer one of their questions.
" "Do you use your Askville superpowers?" "How do you reach level 1,2,3 ect. On askville topics to get superpowers? I am completely clueless." "y would someone want to use askville?
" "What should you be doing while you are on Askville? " "Why are you here (askville)?
How do you reach level 1,2,3 ect. On askville topics to get superpowers? I am completely clueless.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
