Which is better: Centurytel DSL Internet or Charter Communications cable Internet?

I am not looking for explanations about the differences in price or the details of bundling offers. I want to know the speed, performance and reliability of either, or how they compare and contrast with each other. I am mostly concerned with downloading and streaming video, and playing MMO games.

Avoid Charter at all costs My daughter lives in Charter territory (terror-tory) in NE Atlanta. Her experience has been atrocious. Charter's cable service has been down more than it has been up.

Her interenet service has been just as bad, because they share the same cable. Customer service has been awful. They don't appear to care whatsoever, even though it is costing them customers.

She moved to Direct TV and AT&T Internet two weeks ago. Do NOT go with Charter.

1 I would tell you that I love my DSL service but every time the phone rings it knocks me offline like dial up. It's got a great speed and I haven't had any problems with billing or service issues. I have had Charter and it was the best as far as speed and not dropping signal, but billing was a constant issue for me with them and I eventually told them to get lost.

I pay half as much for the same speed service now and I can deal with getting knocked offline every now and then to not have to deal with those guys.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
