Don't hate me for being a Yankee fan. I am a Yankee fan from the Bronx that lives in Cleveland Ohio. The Indian fans at my work try too give me a hard time but is just because they are jealous of the winning history that the Yankees have.
This should be a good season for of baseball. It is time to try and put the Steroid scandals behind us and move on. I have bought my tickets for the 3 games that the Yanks are in Cleveland and look forward to the Indians getting abused.
This is going to be a great year for both A-Rod and Jeter. I think that we will see a new more humble A-Rod witch will help him in the playoffs.
YES YES and YES Don't confuse my summary to this answer with the team I support, I am a Yankee hater. I'm very excited for the start of spring training. I'm a huge braves fan, I'm not from the south or Georgia or anything but that was the name of the first little league team I played for when I was 7 and so I've been a fan ever since.
Anyway, I am a little disappointed this year that I won't be able to see nearly as many games as I have in the past because TBS sold the braves this past year. But even though I won't be able to see as many games I'm excited, the Braves look to have a solid team this year and the NL east looks like an exiting division with the mets and phils. Anyway, as a baseball fan I'm very excited for spring training to start.

Very much so. I love baseball. (Go Yankees!) Even with the current steriod mess, I still love the sport.
Watching baseball has been likened to watching grass grow. On the contrary, you can get so much done, I read, knit, cook, while the game is on, and then when those moments of sheer joy and poetry, the perfect double play, that tag at home, the throw from the outfield to peg the runner at second happen, well it's marvelous. Regardless of what team does what, I welcome the return of baseball.

Oh yes! I love to see who arrives at spring training and who is new and who got their contract renewed. Just today there was a picture of my favorite player - Jason Varitek - at spring training signing autographs in the hot, Florida sun.
If I lived near there, I would defnitely go to the games. Before kids, we were on vacation in Florida and took in a spring training game. That was also before the Red Sox became World Champions!
It was still exciting, even back then. Having traveled to New York City this past weekend, I noticed a lot of hype for the Mets. Of course, they have the new pitcher Johan Santana that every team in baseball, I think, was trying to get.
The Red Sox/Yankee rivalry will always remain strong, and be the best one in sports, however. We have tickets to a couple of Red Sox games this year. I can’t wait.
There is nothing like a game in Fenway Park, if you’re a Red Sox fan. And I have my new Jason Varitek shirt that I got for Christmas, so I’m waiting to wear that. And baseball means spring is here, so being a New Englander, that is always a welcome sign!
GO SOX! 2007 World Champions! And I hope I get Red Sox/Yankees tickets in the lottery (I’m part of Red Sox Nation and that is a "perk" - to be put into the lottery to get the opportunity to buy the tickets).

1 Yes! Go, Sawx! -- says The Providence Kid.
Go, Nats! -- says the former New Englander who's now spent a larger part of his life in the DC area. I would have Answered, but, of course, I would never trust anyone who'd choose to be a Yankees fan to be fair and honest about anything, never mind rating on Askville.
