Because of the backlash against them, I'm never going to answer any Bonus Questions again! My scores get LOWERED! Almost EVERY appeal for a Bonus Question I've answered has come back with a LOWER score than the "3" it originally received!

I believe that this is because there is a concerted effort on the part of many Askvillers to purposely give low ratings to the answerers of Bonus Questions in order to discourage the answering of these inane and hated BQs in the first place! I've learned my lesson! Please don't beat me anymore!

2 I've been answering only BQ that already have 2 answers in or more, so I know that I have a better chance of at least 3 people voting and possibly not needing an appeal. I don't blame you for not wanting to get burned anymore though. People should skip BQ if they aren't going to rate them fairly.

I treat them like any other question.

Judging by the Questions available to answer it would seem many are answering the bonus questions and they are making.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
