Bonus Questions: why not have Askville I (BQ-free zone) and Askville II (nothing but BQs)?

Then everybody has their own sandpit ... freedom of choice ... you can go from one to the other freely, those people who like BQs can ask and answer them, those of us who dislike them needn't spend so much time picking the creepy-crawlies out of our salad. I think what Askville will finally end up doing is implementing your suggestion! There has been some people making your suggestion in the Open Forum and they might want to consider doing so. Please visit the Open Forum posted by Chumpboy who is Askville Community Manager, and make your suggestion.

askville.amazon.com/Open-Forum-part-Askv... I think it would be great if they had added a new option under "Newest tab" located at the front page that let us choose non-bonus questions. If you log out from your Askville and go to the front page and look under "Newest" tab you see that there is an option (when you are NOT logged into Askville) that shows only bonus questions. I don’t understand why there is a need for such option but it *seems* they are considering adding that feature.

I am not sure if they would do that however. The reason is that, they really want us to answer those bonus questions. Because they say it generates money for them!

I am not sure how, but it certainly does generate money for them as they say. Believe me, we realize that we have a long way to go with bonus questions. One thing I’d like folks to consider is that they do play a part in "paying the bills" around here so that Askville can continue on (you’d be surprised by how much it takes to run all these servers and pay the staff) http://askville.amazon.com/apologize-advance/DiscussionBoard.do?requestId=13246169&page=5#db The key, I would say, is that we don't know *how* bonus questions generate money for Askville.

We all have our own guesses but we are not 100% sure about that. If we knew how they generate money we could have probably make better suggestions.

2 EnglishLady, I think this is the BEST solution and everyone would be happy! What an intelligent answer to this mess. LOL.... Keep those creepy-crawlies out of my salad!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
