Can a betta fish live in 97 degree F water?

It depends on the fish. One of my bettas does okay in a 5 gallon with 2 guppies. My other betta does not.

Both my bettas are male to. So it all depends on the fish. And also some males flare at different things.

Blaze my first boy used to flare at me all the time. My other boy Liberty didn't flare at nothing till I moved him to the guppy tank and he one in a while flares at the guppies if they accidentally scare him. As for stocking ideas.

Depending on how big your tank tank is. My tanks are five gallons. My limit is 1 betta and 4 guppies for one five gallon.

Thats because guppies make less ammonia and are fairly easy to care for. If it was any other fish I would probably say 1 betta and 1-2 others at the most. Ten gallons you have alot more choice.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
