Moving a betta fish from cold water to heated water?

Betta naturally live in tropical countries like Thailand. The water temp there NEVER drops below about 20C, and it's usually higher. So this is what the fish expect, and NEED to survive.

Now some people do keep them without a heater, but that's because they are in a centrally heated house that never drops much below 20C no matter what. Water temp should be 25-28C. If the water gets too cool, the fish will become lethargic and stop eating.

They can survive like this for a while, but eventually they give up and die. A desk lamp may help keep it alive a bit longer, but it's not a god solution.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
