Believe it or not, we do not have/do not want cable; however, with the new switch to digital TV and the need for the converter boxes (which we have), your VCR cannot record one channel while you watch another one (or record more than one channel without you physically changing the channel! ) unless you get two converter boxes (one for the TV and one for the VCR) if I understand it all correctly. My question is - is there any type of TIVO or DVR system that I can use without getting cable? Thanks (and yes, I am an antique!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
