In the sonnet form"--a Shakespearean sonnet has 16 lines of iambic pentameter, with the rhyme scheme ABAB CDCD EFEF GG. The first 8 lines, the octet, set up the mood and subject. Can also be considered as two quatrains.
Then there is a shift in the next 6 lines, the sextet, that leads to the conclusion in the last two lines, the heroic couplet. So the the message works out to be something like Da da da da da da da da da da (x8) But da da da da da da da da da da (x6) So da da da da da da da da da da (x2).
