I've gotten a few BQ appeals from people who I know have accounts at Mturk. I was wondering if they are making up the questions over there, then answering them over here. Would Amazon know if they were?

Sure! I've done it! And I don't feel like it's cheating at all, although I suppose others could do it in a cheating way.
When I ask a question in Mturk, I don't always know the answer. I see the keywords that I have to use, and there are current event articles or product suggestions below, but I don't usually even use them. It's quicker and easier to just make up my own question based on what I want to ask, and then it does't involve the recommendation of an Amazon product, unless I want it to.So basically, I don't usually know the answer to the question I ask, as I've just jumbled up the words they've given me into a sentence that makes sense.
But it might not be anything that I am actually familiar with. Or, it's an opinion type question that doesn't really have a right and wrong answer. And it really doesn't seem to be an advantage if you asked the question, as you don't rate your own answer in the Bonus Questions.
And the other people can change the entire wording of a bonus question and make it into something completely different to answer, if they want. I have no idea if Amazon knows, but they can easily check. And there are no published rules or regulations saying we can't do both.
I don't answer all my own questions, but just a few that really interest me.
1 Yes, they can. I don't know if Amazon would know who wrote the question and be able to map it back to their Askville acccount. But even if they could, they don't appear to have a problem with askers being able to answer their own Bonus Questions.
Askville staff has stated clearly in their posts about the editing feature that people are welcome to edit Bonus Questions and then answer the new questions themselves. And there are no restrictions to how much you can edit. If this were a Bonus Question I could change it to "What did Paris lton have for breakfast?" .

2 Yes we can, and yes I have. Amazon *could* figure it out if they wanted to - I use the same sign-in information for all three of Amazon/Askville/MTurk. The question is do they "want" to.
Since they don't seem to want to listen to any of the other complaints about Bonus Questions, I find it unlikely they care about this particular "feature" either. This user has been banned from Askville.

Persnicula replied to post #3: 4 Ah, good point. Although I think her routine changes when she's in jail. There the early morning hours are set aside for Lunchmeat Refusal, Quivering Outbursts, and General Wasting Away.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
