Can you put a older male cat and a younger male cat together?

Male cats do not attack kittens or female cats however, it probably isn't the best idea. If you have lived with the older cat for a while, he may become jealous of the new addition to the family. As the younger cat devolops they may become aggressive to one another.

This said, not all cats are like this, some generally get along with other cats. It depends mostly on the breed and age.
