Congress wants to be exempt from any health care bill that would be put on our backs. Is this fair? Congressman John Fleming ( Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same healthcare plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt).
Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and sign his petition (very simple - just first, last and email). fleming.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=55... Asked by jimspop 25 months ago Similar questions: Congress exempt health care bill put backs fair Health.

Congress Should Not Be able to Exempt Themselves Amendment 28 Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .
No it is not fair, yet fairness is not their goal - Their goal is control. Their goal is power. If they can control health care they can control what we eat or drink, when and whether we have children, when we die.
Quality health care is nothing but a slogan, it is not at all their intention for us. Their intention for us is to kill off those who are too old and expensive or who won’t vote for them. They don’t want the garbage they have planned for us.
They want quality health care for themselves. They will vote against this amendment, unless it is written in such a way that really lets them out.

God, I hear stuff like this and it makes me wish I had a job where I didn't have to do very much, had lengthy vacations every year, and got to give myself a raise, regardless of performance feedback. If this proposed plan is SOOOO great, EVERYONE should have it, up to and including the president. He's still a US citizen, regardless of his job title.
This really isn't about politics or the health care bill ... but isn't it odd that.
Ok... Let's put partisan politics aside and talk about issues - Health Care.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
