I have been one of Jehovah's Witnesses for nearly 10 years and also a survivor of sexual abuse from "father" who is not a witness. He is also a paedophile. I have read many accounts of this happening and all I can say is that I know of a brother who goes to court with the "victim".
The brother is in his 80's and still going strong. It is his daughter who confirmed this to me. You are wrong when you say that our organisation is more concerned for their own reputation as this would go absolutely against the very esence of what Jehovah stands for.
There are many artificial "christians" within the congregation who take advantage of this! If I found out that it was happening within my own congregation - then I would descreetly encourage the victim to talk to an elder they feel comfortable with and if that was not possible, then approach the circuit overseer. I would not hide from it because that is not Jehovah's Way!
Plus if this was being kept in secret - why is it talked so much? Not ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
