A "true" vegan does not eat any animal product or byproduct. A "true" vegetarian does not eat meat. Regarding processed foods, as long as they are made without animal product/by products they fall into the safe for vegans/vegetarians category.

It seems that most vegetarians start out eating processed foods because it is an easy way to initially replace meat. But after awhile many veg/vegans start to experiment more with cooking, ethnic foods & different types of foods ~ and start to move away from the processed stuff. One thing I've noticed about organic veg/vegan processed food is that it tends to be quite high in sugar, sodium, fat, & calories.

That stuff may not matter when you are young, but as you get older those things will make a difference with your weight, cholesterol, blood pressure, etc. I like to cook & tend to cook most of my meals from scratch. But I do stock up on the processed stuff when it is on sale because it is fantastic for days when I am too busy or tired to make a proper meal. Bottom line ~ it's not bad for you in moderation.

But whether you are a veggie, vegan or meat eater it is best to have a fresh, varied diet that is low in fat & calories and high in fiber. Hope this helps =).

Yes, there are many vegan/vegetarian processed foods out there. Most food that people eat is processed in some way. Raw vegans, however do not eat processed foods.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
