Does the Australian Episcopal/Anglican Church consider itself more Catholic or Protestant?

We are part of the 'One Holy, catholic and Apostolic Church.' Note the caps and small case. The word catholic means Universal. The Roman church has appropriated the word Catholic and uses the upper case.

When you see the upper case, you are referring to Rome. When you use the lower case, you are referring to the Christian Faith as being Universal to all Denominations that follow Him as our Lord and Savior. It is important to distinguish between Rome and catholic, as we are all catholic, but not necessarily part of the city of Rome.

Take a good look at the word catholic in the magazines. It's probably spelled with a small c. Catholic spelled with a small c means universal church.

We Lutherans say the Apostles Creed in church every Sunday. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, etc. This means the body of believers. All Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopalians, Methodists, etc. are part of the body of Christ.

We all have common beliefs such as the virgin birth, Christ's death and resurrection, his deity, etc. We differ only on small points. We recognize members of other denominations as our brothers and sisters. This is what the catholic church with a small c is about, the unity of all believers in Christ.

Edit: Some denominations substitute the word Christian for catholic church when saying the Creed. Maybe this will make more sense to you.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
