Given the opportunity, would you run for President? Why or Why not?

Yes, of course. I would like to bring the best out of the country and change foreign policies and also change a lot of things.

Nope! Because I'm not qualified enough at the moment. The thought of being a President is exciting because we have an image of that level of authority that you can do anything, change any policy, be in the media, get the best life etc.Etc...but in reality, we all know that its a very demanding responsibility that only the very best should take - like all the Presidents around the World!

Meanwhile, I'm happy to read the newspaper and appreciate/criticize the Leaders of today while sipping my favorite cup of coffee!

No way would I run! No matter what you do you get blamed for the economy, which I doubt you have all that much control over even if you are president. Who needs the headache?

Must be someone who either really wants to serve, or has a gigantic ego, or is corrupt who would want that job, not ordinary people.

No way,Hosea! It's doesn't pay enough,all the scrutiny,ridicule,and headache it isn't worth it. Pro athletes,pop stars and some CEO's make way more than the president and do not have half the headache.It's not a job for the faint at heart or the thin skinned.

I suppose everyone would like to think they have the answers this country needs. Whether or not someone would run for president probably depends more on thier self-pride rather than thier true ability to solve the country's problems. I personally think I would make a horrible president, and that anyone who thinks they'd make a good one should consider.It would probably be a lot more fun running for president than it would actually being president... but still, I think I'll leave it to the pros.

No. I don't want to age 10 years in a few years. Plus, I wouldn't want the scrutiny and having to bide my tongue when the media starts bashing me.

Running this country is an unbelievable responsibilty. I'm afraid I'm not up to it.

Since i'm canadian obviously I wouldn't but I would run for Prime Minister of Canada.

I would rather be a senator. It's a helpful role but with fewer responsibilities.

Anyone who would seriously want that level of responsibility is either stark raving mad, a true altruistic genius (no such thing), or they are just plain money/power mad. I've noticed that ex presidents tend to continue to use their status to make money after they have left office, so...

I would not run for presidency. I like my private life. Although it would be awesome to make changes to the laws and other things, the initial process is crazy.

I would hate my friends and family making money off of my memories and pitfalls.

Hell no! I would not want that kind of responsibility. I have a conscience and I know that it is going to have a massive problem if I had that power.

I wouldn't take this opportunity, this is too risky. So much presure so much stress, so much problem's to deal with.

I wouldn't care to be "president" simply because I don't think the president, (at least the US president), has much to do with policy. I think you'll find the person who has most to do with policy/s is the person/s who has the most money. Sad, but true, imho...

No. Being the President of the U.S.A. Or any country for that matter strips a person off their human qualities. There are to many games that have to be played in order to accomplish goals.

Most of those games are soulless ways for people to obtain more money and power. I wish the President could be like the President on the first season of the TV show 24. If that could happen maybe I would consider it.

No one should "run" for president. A candidate who feels qualified should submit his/her resume to the state electors, interview for the job at the electoral college of each state, and wait for the state electors to cast their ballots - just like the constitution decrees.

Frankly speaking, I will not run for the president, I am a person who love peaceful and free life. The most enjoyable thing for me is stay together with my family. I can not bear that many reporters are chasing after me and ake a lot of my personal questions from me.

Its not easy to handle a nation since you are capable in doing acts that well progressive the status of a nation as well as the welfare of his/her nation.

No, because I'm not passionate about politics, policies, public speaking...etc. I think anyone running for president should know exactly what they're in for and want to do it anyway. I believe the inevitable stress of so many people on your shoulders WILL change you, and if you think you're qualified and stable enough to do so, I say go for it, because I'm not going to!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
