Have you ever known why Dec 26 is called " boxing day?

December 26 is called boxing day. A box to collect money for the poor was placed in Churches on Christmas day then opened the next day. The money thus collected will be spent for poor people.In England many years ago, it was common practice for the servants to carry boxes to their employers when they arrived for their day's work on the day after Christmas.
