How do I replace toro valve?

Replacing Toro sprinkler valves is really not that difficult. I use a long bladed shovel to dig around it about 3" out from the sprinkler head and remove the dirt and grass in about 3-4 pieces (so I can put them back again. You have to dig down below where the fitting screws into the piping.

Then you can unscrew the fitting and remove it. Next, teflon tape the male threads and put the new Toro valve in place, pointing it in the proper direction as indicated by the markings on the top of the valve. Put the sod pieces around the fitting and then you are done!

1. Turn off the system and drain the pressure. This can be done by shutting off the water, then turning the system on manually.2.

Expose the valve and 2 feet of pipe on each side. For in-ground valves, this will involve digging.3. Cut the pipe on both sides of the valve 1 foot from the valve.

Then cut the pipes 1/2 inch from the first cuts to remove a small section of pipe. This will aid in reinstalling the valve. 4.

Cut the wires from the control solenoid on the controller wire side of the connections.5. Remove the threaded sections of pipe from the old valve. Sometimes this will require a pipe wrench.

Teflon tape the threads and install the new valve. 6. Glue the couplers to the pipes coming out of the new valve.

Now glue on coupler to the pipe that the old valve was cut from. Then flex the other pipe and glue the other coupler it. Make sure the flow direction is correct on the valve.7.

Strip the controller wires back 1/2 inch. Connect the control wires to the solenoid wires with the direct bury connections according to the supplied instructions.8. Wait 20 minutes, then turn the water back on.

Turn the system on manually. Check the repair for operation and leaks. Fill in the hole if one was dug.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
