I'm more offended that other people are offended - if that makes sense. If you're a Christian you believe that Jesus came and suffered and in the end, dying on a cross for your sins. If it was found out that Jesus was a fag would that gift of salvation be worth less?

I don't think those who shalt not judge have any business judging. I see no significant indication that Jesus was gay. I think people sometimes think that he was because the customs during the time were very different than the customs we have today.

For instance, Jesus was kissed or kissed men or the fact that men often laid their heads upon the undergarments of other men. All these things would; indeed, indicate homosexuality today, but indicated nothing during that place in time. Christians (and the majority of everyone else) have been conditioned to believe that the things read in The Bible are the direct words of God or at least inspired by God.

What people fail to understand is Christianity is legend and story that for many generations was never even written down. Most of the time these stories were carried on to the next generation by word of mouth. All logic says certain things changed with details after the story was retold so many times.

Add the fact that The Bible has been changed and adapted to suit the views of the person in power at whatever time and it's hard to fathom we're left with many of the original ideas. The Codex Sinaiticus (translated as The Sinai Bible) is the oldest copy of The Bible in existence. Well over 1,600 years old it contains the Christian Bible in Hebrew and has the oldest, most complete New Testament.

From it's beginnings in the 4th century and into the 12th century there are changes and corrections made directly on the pages. These changes range from a letter to full sentences being changed or added. The difference between The Bible you would have in your home or church today and this near the original as possible Bible is 14.800 numbers of differences.

Most of the changes made have been major changes by political leaders (usually whichever pope was in power) to create hate or intolerance towards actions, behaviors and deeds. The fear Christians have for themselves and their loved ones is not making it into Heaven and being doomed forever into a fiery hell. Would it be surprising to know that "hell" never existed in the original manuscripts (the most original we have access to)?

So where did it come from? Three words within The Bible were translated inaccurately. Why is a mystery.It could have been on purpose or it could have been a mistake.

Either way, it goes as follows: Hades simply means the abode of the dead, Sheol means the underworld or the abode of the dead, and Gehenna refers to the trash dump of Jerusalem. There is no mention of fire and brimstone. All of that is added.

What is a shame is religion is used as a tool for controlling people through fear. My point is, who are we to say what Jesus was? We don't even have proper documentation that would tell us what is or isn't wrong in the manner of homosexuality.

What I do know is Jesus did have a message that can be appreciated by Christians and Non Christians alike. That message is love above all others - love.

First I must say, why is anyone surprised, this is Elton John. Second, only die hard religious prudes are offended. Quite honestly I would begin to ponder, what if Jesus really were gay?

Would homophobic catholics become non-believers? I can tell you this, if he is gay, he'll be outraged to see the drab costumes that priests and nuns adorn.

People who are offended are of course fundamentalists who think they are the one who hold the truth and other people's interpretation of Christianity is wrong. They were already offended because in Da Vinci Code it is said that Jesus got married.So, if Jesus as a heterosexual anger them, I would imagine that Jesus being gay would be. What I really want to know if Jesus somehow came and announced that he were gay, would they leave him or keep following him?

Fundamentalists do not follow the Bible, they follow their own interpretation of it for their own self serving purpose. If they do want to imitate Jesus or even Paul's life, they would give all of their money to the poor, like Jesus asked a rich man to do. They would never discriminate, never hate, never push forward their political agenda for their own sake.

I sympathize with those who are offended. However, I personally am not offended because I've known for quite a while that Elton John is a moron of the highest order. Well, Jesus Christ has forgiven all those who don't know what they're doing. So, I forgive Elton John for that but I pity him because he assumes he knows God when he's just one of It's such a blasphemy. AND, Jesus was born c.4 BC/BCE while Elton John was born only in the year 1947.So, how can he say that?Lol.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
