Fall is not complete without a silly scarecrow to put a smile on the faces of your children and their friends. Make a pumpkin head scarecrow to add a touch of whimsy to your Halloween decor. Plan to spend about an hour to complete this holiday scarecrow and enlist an assistant to help.
Turn a pumpkin upside down. Have an assistant hold the pumpkin in place while you paint a scarecrow face. Turn the pumpkin right side up and let the paint dry completely.
Fill two plastic garbage sacks with leaves or crumpled newspaper. Slide each filled sack into the legs of the jeans. Tuck the jean legs into a pair of boots.
Secure the boots to the jeans by tying the bottom of the pants with rope. Load three more sacks with leaves. Stuff two of the sacks in the shirt sleeves and one in the body of the shirt.
Tuck the shirt into the pants and pin it in place with safety pins. Push a 2-foot long wire into each shirt sleeve. Leave 6 inches extending at the cuffs.
Place the hat on the ground, upside down, ... more.
