How do you treat Psoriasis without a prescription?

I’ve had moderate to severe psoriasis for about 8 years now. I’ve tried many creams and prescriptions but none of these seemed to work. The thing about psoriasis is since it deals with a person’s immune system what works for one might not be effective for another. So, it’s very important to know your treatment options and discuss them with your doctor.

That being said the one thing that seemed to be effective for me is phototherapy or light therapy. Quote from psoriasis.Org Phototherapy or light therapy, involves exposing the skin to ultraviolet light on a regular basis and under medical supervision. Treatments are done in a doctor’s office or psoriasis clinic or at home with phototherapy unit.

The key to success with light therapy is consistency. This website has an abundance of information on psoriasis and has helped me. psoriasis.com.

My daughter has Psoriasis and we have tried about everything. Most of which, with no luck. We finally were told to try Cortaid.

Although it is not a home remedy, you do not need a prescription for it. You can buy it over the counter and it can be found at most Walgreens, Walgreens online or drug stores. It comes in a tube and you just need a small amount of it.

Usually my daughter's Psoriasis is cleared up in a couple days. It usually stays gone until the weather changes and then it creeps back up on us. We did not have any side effects from the Cortaid.

And barely have to use much of the cream at all. I am not sure if your father's Psoriasis is more severe than my daughter or not. Just a suggestion of what worked for us.

Consider: aloe vera juice, coconut oil, shea butter, goats milk soap, and -- green tea -- ( which strengthens immune system). All of these are soothing and can help improve psoriasis and reduce its irritation.

I had a co-worker with this condition. He used calomine lotion periodically throughout the day at work and he swore by it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
