The problem with stress is that although modern life has provided us with plenty of new aggravations, our bodies haven't evolved new ways to deal with them; we still confront stressors by preparing for physical action, usually vigorous. But we can't run from rush-hour traffic jams, income taxes, or obtuse politicians. We can't fight them either.
They're a grim fact of life. Civilization has short-circuited the entire fight-or-flight process, and all too often our systems flood with all the chemicals of the stress response, and then we sit there in our automobiles, our offices, in waiting rooms, hour after hour, "stewing" in our own juices, without the release that comes from physical activity. Even just the thought or anticipation of a stressful event can trigger the body's stress response; the hypothalamus has a difficult time distinguishing between a real threat and an imagined one.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
