How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated, instead of just plain murdered?

He has to be in the public eye. The average person is murdered. The celebrity is assassinated.

In my ancient past, back in the 60s, I had an ancient teacher - who was at least 60. She told us that heads of state and Prime Ministers are "assassinated" and the other people, including celebrities, Members of Parliament and Congressmen are "murdered". I think she was out of touch, at least since 1968 when Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King were "assassinated" all over the television dial.

Neither were heads of state, though both were public figures. Rev. King's followers were "murdered" (or just "killed") John Lennon was both "murdered" and "assassinated" in print. So, that was the 1960s and 1970s.

Now any celebrity can be "assassinated".

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
