Your landlord is able to start the eviction procedures if the rent is not received the day it is due. Some landlords allow a grace period of anywhere between 3-5 days, in the case the tenant might have financial difficulties during this month. So in answer to your question you are subject to be given a notice giving you 3-5 days(depending on the eviction laws of your state) to pay the rent or quit (move).
