How to auto re-connect Netgear wireless G router with comcast broadband cable modem I have a Netgear Wireless router connected to Comcast Broadband cable modem (wired connection to wireless router) My Comcast broadband router gets rebooted every night at mid-night and this drops the internet connection from wireless router to comcast cable modem. The wireless does not reconnect automatically, I have to turn off and the wireless and turn it back on to be able to get the connection through wireless. I had to buy a wirless on/off power switch so I don't have to climb upstairs to reset the wireless router.

Sounds like the Netgear's DHCP is not well implemented. My first concern is why your Comcast router is rebooting at midnight every night. I have never heard of that happening.
