Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. As a friend, you cannot take out of a person's mind with reason, what reason didn't put there in the first place. And so, it's important to being to think rationally.
We are what we eat. We are what we read. And we are what we think.
Yes, we can think ourselves sick, literally- ulcers and headaches and so forth. We can also think ourselves well. We can think ourselves through anything.
Ask men and women who have been imprisoned for years at a time in enemy war camps, in solitary confinement. But thinking is the best place to begin. Behavior is learned.
And anything which is learned can be unlearned and replaced with something more wholesome. Negative thinking is bad behavior. For lots of reasons.
But the negative thinking is directly related to self-talk. Thinking negative things, repeatedly, and/or hearing ones self say negative things out loud isn't healthy. Stop that!
Replace those thoughts with better thoughts. Exposure to wholesome people is a good start. Remember, we get fleas by sleeping with dogs.
But we also get good things by associating with good people. When your friend throws such talk at you, respond with something affirming to their self-esteem. Remind them of their blessings.
With suicidal thoughts is dealt (without quotes):.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
