I agree with Maximum20 do NOT put the crib in your room, put your child to bed, and let her scream it out, you can tell whether her cries are due to hunger, pain, or just a tantrum because she want to be held. Don't let her train you to do what she wants. You can get a CD of soft lullabies and let it play very quietly for her, She will most likely be asleep before the 2nd song ends.
