Absolutely! I read something on here the other day where some guy suggested that we "old folks" should be playing acoustic guitars, not electric. I love acoustic guitar too, but having grown up in the 70's & early 80's I don't see myself putting my electric guitar down anytime soon.
As far as starting to learn guitar in your 60's I don't think that poses a major issue, in fact, electric guitar would be easier on your fingers and hands than acoustic. Get a nice guitar that plays easy and has good action, put some light strings (10's) on it, and have fun with it.
Of course you can! Try http://guitarmanual.typepad.com and get the ebook there also are videos on there as lessons, the ebook is 93 pages and 8 chapters covering everything a beginner would need, open chords, barre chords, power chords, chord inversions, major minor and pentatonic scales, how to stay in key, modes, techniques, music theory specific to guitar, and much more, good luck and email me if you need any help from the site.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
