You can't... ...even though the names are similar PCIe is a newer standard than PCI. To use your new PCIe card, you would need to upgrade your motherboard (i.e. Buy new computer )..
No such thing You can't use a PCI Express video card in a PC motherboard that has only PCI slots. There is a converter designed for legacy PCI hardware that will allow you to use a PCI cards in computers with PCI Express slots, but not the other way around. A cheap solution would be to use an old PCI video card.
A more expensive solution would be to replace your outdated PC. What is PCI Express? A Layman's guide to high speed PCI-E technology Why should I care about PCI-Express?
There are two main reasons to care about PCI-Express: 1) PCI is now an old standard dating back to the early 90's and no longer fits our needs in terms of speed/performance. 2) AGP also is in a similar position as PCI now, and chipset manufacturers are killing AGP motherboard support in favor of the much faster PCI Express interface. This means you are looking at a forced transition in the graphic sector, thus you really don't have a lot of choice in the coming years.

Probably won't work There are chips manufactured that could be used to make such an adapter but I've never heard of one (and a Google search didn't find one). There are adapters for using PCI cards in PCI-E (x1) slots and adapters for using PCI-E cards in lower-bandwidth slots (all the way up to PCI-E x16 to x1 converter (though I have no idea why you'd want to do that as the functionality would be crippled with only 1/16 of the intended bandwidth)). Not at all likely Even though the names are close, the interfaces are actually very different. Since you included the topic "graphics card" I’m going to suggest that it would not be worth the trouble and expense to even try. Either upgrade the motherboard, or find a card that’s more suited to it.
I have read that converters exist, but I’m only certain of it for the other direction. presence-pc.com/actualite/adaptateur-pci... I suspect it might not even be possible to go the way you’d need. Very likely, too much is missing from the motherboard for there to ever be any way to make it work effectively with a PCI-e graphics card..
Regretfully no... Sorry but the answer is no. The electrical, signal and physical specification of the 2 standards PCI and PCI-e (pci express) are totally different and there is no converter possible. Even if someone could put one together and get the signals right, the size and such would be totally incompatible with the system.
On the positive side, PCI-e cards are quite a bit faster than the old PCI cards. This is especially true for graphics cards. A low cost graphics card (In fact, I think it was frys.com that had a PCI-e graphics card for $29 with a $20 rebate!
Hope this helps...
