If you had a chance to be given one magic ability, which magic ability would you want and why?

I would want the ability to perfectly remember everything I've ever read or heard. Imagine what you could do with all the knowledge you would have.

I like your idea vicgoowin2 but since you already mentioned it, mine would be the ability to make the whole world live in peace and that will be forever. I want the whole world to be happy and to live in peace.

I would want the ability to predict which stocks were going to do well, and which stocks were going to tank, and when. I would choose this ability so that I could make my living easily, of course, and spend my energy on other things -- like learning, traveling, and having romance in my marriage.

First thought would be to read someones mind but then that would really be of limited use. I would actually like the ability to see one day in advance. To read newspapers one day in advance would be of tremendous value.

First to myself financially--if I could start with a two dollar bet at the race track everyday and roll it over I could make in excess of one million dollars a day. Second-to warn people of impending disasters and save lives and even through accidental death. Third-to avert actions that would lead to war.

Fourth-to know what day to throw one hell-of-a-party before my death.

I would want the ability to go back in time and redo a lot of things from my past with knowledge of my future intact. There are many things I wish to redo. If we have some knowledge of the future, we could choose the best choice for us.It'd also be very interesting to see how my future would unfold if I hadn't chosen or acted as I have done.

I would also use the opportunity to buy stocks that would do well in the market so I could be rich.

Teleportation..invisibility would be a nice added perk but.. I'd settle for just teleportation.

I'd want telepathy, as long as I could focus it and turn it on and off at will. So much of my fear -- of rejection, of failure, the like -- comes from not knowing what other people think, and especially what they think about me. I'd no longer have that fear; I could know instantly what people think.

Sure, I might not like what I find sometimes, but it's better than always suspecting that anyway. It'd help me out socially, in the workplace, pretty much everywhere. The last part, however, is crucial.

I've read too many "be-careful-what-you-wish-for" type stories where someone wishes for telepathy and is quickly overwhelmed because he can hear EVERYONE'S thoughts, all of them, at all times. With over six billion people on the Earth, that'd shut someone down really quickly! So I'd have to be able to focus it on a specific person, and turn it on and off.

I think that's in keeping with the spirit of the power.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
