If you were offered a job where you had to live in a compound, would you take it?

For the right salary and if I needed it yes. Most people go to these Countries and live like that for a good paycheck. I had a friend in Saudi who installed cable TV in Palaces and the very wealtys homes.

They all ran from satellites and he would wire up the whole buildings. He worked three months on then three off and back in the seventies was making $80,000 p/year for a pretty basic job, no PHD required.

I could live in a compound short term, but not indefinitely. I would be leery of living anywhere in Arabia, though. You never know when you are going to become the object of a terrorist attack.

The risk would not be worth any paycheck, in my opinion. Otherwise, as Vic says the compound does seem a very simple solution to the complicated problem of incommensurable customs.

Yes, I would. If it was a job I could do well and that I enjoyed, I would live anywhere. Plus, for me, it's been hard trying to find a living situation, and a compound would make the process of finding housing much simpler.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
