Lol. Seriously... from a moral perspective its a despicable company to work for, but from the side of "I'm jobless and need something now" I could understand taking a position there.
I certainly would. The fact that management did some stupid things would not prevent me from working there. Management does stupid things in all kind of arenas including political, health, religion, and others.
Absolutely! The job market is extremely tough right now and is showing no signs of improving anytime soon. Any port in a storm... Hopefully, AIG has it's worst times behind it.
There is new management, government oversight, and more shareholder activism now compared to a year ago. AIG and other insurance companies made really bad bets on the real estate market and took on way too much risk. However, these companies provide essential services to businesses and individuals -- they're part of the "grease" that helps our economy move ahead.By taking a job at AIG, I could hopefully have some influence on the direction of the company -- for the better.
In a heart beat! But I wouldn't tell friends, family, or anyone else for that matter (for fear of getting my *ss kicked. ) If the company does file for bankruptcy (or fire me) I could file for unemployment. It's a win-win situation!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
