I'm beginning to wonder what to DO with myself in Askville! There are less and less Questions I find interesting! I LOVE the back-and-forth of Discussions, but as far as answering Questions go, I find that there are becoming fewer and fewer that are of even the remotest interest to me!
As even most questioner's know, almost every Question can EASILY be answered by Googling--but I find the current crop of Questions to be so "boring" that I don't even want to BOTHER Googling the answer, even for the acquisition of "Quest Gold"! I realize that Questions like this have been asked before (probably many times), but--as I am referring to the current crop of Questions--this also makes my Question "current"! Do you agree with me that we're "going through a bad spell" of Questions, and--if so--do you think it is likely to continue?

I agree! This is probably the greates question in the past 20 hours. But now that they've brought stuff like the mugs, and t-shirts, then it's only a matter of time before it comes back to life.
And when they bring questville, it'll all be better, don't worry about it. I'm just saving for my mug right now, but it's SOOO hard to earn those quest coins. But forgeddaboudhit, man.
I know good and well this site will be fine, since they have yet to launch stuff like Questville, and, I expect, more users will keep coming in. There's just one thing I'm wondering, though, how do people get so many quest coins in so little time? I've anwered MANY questions, of which i've had some best answers, and I only have like 200 quest coins...
I agree with you Marshall We've been going through a bad spell of questions. I used to find several questions all at once that I wanted to answer but now I seem to go through page after page of uninteresting questions. There are some that are focused on the teen crowd.
I am not interested in those at all. With the coming election it seems like I can't go through a page of questions and not run into political ones. I'm not very political and I don't want to answer those either.
Where are the fun questions? Yesterday I started trying to write a few and think I hit the jackpot with the pillow fighting ones but I'm pretty busy with work and don't have time to sit and think of very many questions. I hope this dry spell ends soon. It's discouraging.

You are right we are going through a really bad spell. I find the same thing. I know during Christmas and New Years it got very slow and many of the regulars were not asking many questions.
I muddled through thinking it would get better but so far it has not. Also a lot of new people! I had to laugh when The Chairman wrote a question that said "The Chairman is back after being gone for a month did you miss him"?
When I read the answers people were asking, Who is The Chairman? My lousy luck during the holidays I spent 200 of my coins to buy a super power and ever since I bought it I have not had any good questions to answer. I did manage a couple but I thought when I finally had a super power I was going to rake in the gold.
I quess I should have know since I am known for picking the wrong line at the supermarket as well. :) LouLou's Recommendations The Book of General Ignorance Amazon List Price: $19.95 Used from: $10.98 Average Customer Rating: 4.0 out of 5 (based on 23 reviews) The Book of Fabulous Questions: Great Conversation Starters About Love, Sex and Other Personal Stuff Amazon List Price: $9.95 Used from: $17.42 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 18 reviews) .
Hmmmm I do agree that it seems to be either a tough spell or a dry spell. I thought it was because I'd been around long enough that the obvious questions had been answered and I didn't have a clue to the really hard ones. Not to offend anyone but perhaps it's the mix of people around who are asking at the moment.
Remember also it's winter in the northern hemisphere, some places have had particularly horrible weather, although I'm in the middle of a winter thaw, so perhaps we've hit the winter blahs. I'd say ride it out and see what happens. The world is gray and boring in winter but it's getting closer to pitchers and catchers so there's always hope!.
I to think that we are having a slump in the questions and find some "boring" and not worth looking into. I thought that it was just my taste, so I didn't pay much attention. Even though I am guilty and have never asked a question, I prefer to help answer the questions.
I hope this slump doesn't last too long . I am not doing it for the coins either, I just like to see how many I can answer! Sources: Personal Opinion ragrug_lady's Recommendations Caddyshack Trivia Game .
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
