Im trying to set up the DTV converter box, but I don't have an antenna. DO I NEED ONE? Currently, coaxial wire is from tv to router for basic cable.

Take back the DTV box if you have cable TV, then you don't need the DTV box. DTV converter is only for people who obtain their TV via "rabbit ear" antenna's. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
