Ask him if he is okay with you not converting ever. If he is, it can work. If not, it won't.

Seems cold, but that's really the only way to know.

It won't work if he is really into his religion. Catholics should marry Catholics and etc. Etc. Marry someone with your desires, such as save the whales, or bird watching or what ever you like to do he should like it to.

It maybe opposites that attract but it is people who are alike that stay married.

Reality = a true JW would not be seeing you to start with.

Love is a funny thing. If you are of a Christian denomination and believe in God ect, then you need to first find out how deeply your significant other is entrenched in the JW cult. If he is in deep then unless you fully convert it will never work out and will end in divorce.

If he isn't in deep then you might be able to show him the truth of God's word and convert him. If you are not a Christian then let me simply say this: there are numerous JWs and other christians who simply go through the motions and not fully believe what they are being told.

I would tell you not to. There is alot of issues with this. Your goals will not be the same.

You will quarrel about the children and their relationship with Jehovah. There will be a power struggle. It is not in the best interest of you or him to get married unless you have a mature relationship with Jehovah.

You do not want to be unequally yoked. You would not agree on important matters, and you are setting yourself up for failure. What what would you teach your kids?!

It would be like being a United States Veteran, and asking whether you think marrying someone who is 210% anti-American would work out.

My brother converted from Presbyterianism to Jehovah's witness. He and his wife have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren and have been happily married for over 30 years, but it would not have worked if he had not converted. Just too many differences. It is different from, let's say, a Catholic and a Protestant because the Witnesses do not celebrate birthdays or holidays and they have very different rules in the Kingdom Hall.

Girls and boys can't sit together, etc. The only things they are allowed to celebrate are wedding anniversaries and Easter.

To marry the person is to marry satan you will be very sorry you will need to check out the religion go to livingwaters.com and also khouse.org and see what they have on the subject ,These people are a sect a false religion as they do not believe that Jesus Christ was born in the flesh the say that he was michel that came down from heaven.

Ok, if your partner loves you enough, he will respect your religious beliefs. I'm married to an ex JW, he was still a devout JW when we first met,but I explained to him that I had no interest in religion. He respected that, did'nt try and pressure me into wanting to participate.

He went and did his thing, and he did'nt try and force it down my throat. Since then he's left the religion, not my doing, it was his own choice. We've been together for almost 17 years now, married for 12 and have two gorgeous children. My mother in law is a Jehovah's witness, but my father in law is not, they've been married for almost 40 years.

Your relationship WILL work, but you have to set boundaries and explain to your boyfriend that you don't want to convert but you respect his choice.

Lay it on the line. JW or me. - see what happens?

If l had a nickle for every story along these lines dealing JW & love, marriage, conversion- l would have a nice nest egg.

I know in the passed that when one member of a marriage has become a JW the pressures for the other member to convert have become unbearable. As a result couples have split. So what is the point of starting out divided?

I'm assuming the JW's have not changed there attitudes.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
