The CG tries to co-locate (COLO) when it is feasible. Your first few years, expect it to be difficult. You will go to boot, he won't be there.
They will attempt to get you close for your first unit, but it is a big NEEDS OF SERVICE first thing. Then you have A School, he won't be there. Again, if your class advisors know you are married, where he is stationed, they might try to see if something would be available in a similar area.
But again, might be tough and if he is due to transfer... well, somehow they figure a way to get you together and then he transfers. You don't, you stay where you are. There are chances you could be close.
There are greater chances you won't be. I had very good friends, both on their twilight tours (last station before retirement) all they asked for was to be stationed in Alaska. They didn't care where, they didn't even care if they were together.
Just both in the state of Alaska. She got orders to Valdez, Alaska. He got orders to Clearwater, Florida.
These were 20+ year Chiefs in the CG and that was as close as they got for their final stations. That's your big CON! A really good chance you won't be together.
The Pro's... well, both employed, both have educational benefits, excellent healthcare for both without having to use dependent care, retirement plans... there are a lot of pro's. But if the possibility of being separated by a continent is an issue, that is a huge con and one that needs serious consideration. Can your marriage sustain if you aren't together?
My ex and I did it, I think we worked better when we were apart. My son and daughter-in-law spent their first 18 months of marriage on opposite coasts, they're just fine. But it takes a lot of understanding and patience.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
