Picking a military branch to join?

Actually Kevin, our mission isn't exactly "ground superiority", that's the Army's job. Our job is to be expeditious, meaning able to deploy at a moments notice aboard a Navy ship, ISO any and all missions the President deems necessary. Not to say we're any better than any other branch, I just want our mission clear.

Also, when we deploy we deploy as an all-up-round. We take off with grunts for the ground work, Motor-T for vehicles, aviation for air support, artillery for bombardment, and intelligence for...well....intelligence. We're the only branch that is capable of such superiority in such a short amount of time.

It's called Combined Arms, and it's something you learn from the earliest stages... About your cousin: I'm in Aviation Ordnance, MOS 6541, and I can tell you with certainty that if your cousin was good at all with Ordnance he wouldn't be working somewhere else. He'd be utilized to his full potential on a daily basis. He must have done something to someone to upset them in order to be working with the grunts (infantrymen).

You need to choose the job not the branch. Unfortunately you cannot look at jobs until most of your processing is complete. I can tell you the Army is the only one that can show you jobs and allow you to choose one before going to MEPS.

They can even do it in your kitchen with your parents. This goes a long way towards not being pressured and feeling like you have to choose something just because you are at MEPS. There are also more job choices in the Army as well as more opportunity for promotion than any other branch.

Check it out or yourself though and go off of cold facts, there are shady recruiters out there but most just want to help you make a good decision. And by the way the Army has more boats and amphibious craft than any other branch, just to correct the above statement.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
