Picky are we, Whats your choice vegetable?

1 Ah - you chose well in your life partner! When you say 'celery root,' would that be the vegetable also known as celeriac - ugly-looking round object with very uneven surface texture? Because it's absolutely delicious and hardly known, I suppose because people are put off by its appearance.

I love it raw in salads, or cooked and mixed with mashed potatoes - very comforting in wintertime. Reason I stopped by the DB, however, is that you can experiment with adding a chamomile tea-bag to the water in which your cauliflower is cooking, with interesting effects - it's especially good if you're making a cream of cauliflower soup. A little goes a long way, but it does give a very pleasant emphasis to the flavour.

You ask about 'choice vegetable. ' We Brits are still known for cooking green vegetables for ages in lots of lovely boiling water (it so enhances the flavour) so I tend to like my vegetables messed around with (apart from mushrooms and/or tomatoes, served on toast); but I thought I'd share a variation on the classic Waldorf salad which goes well at buffets and 'bring a bowl' events. You make your classic Waldorf salad (apples, grapes, celery, walnuts, mayonnaise) but first you poach chicken breast(s) in Bengal Spice Tea - you know, from the Celestial Seasonings range - and when cool cut them up into bite-size pieces and add to the salad.

If you don't tell anyone, they'll never guess, and it's absolutely stunning. Oh, I could murder a couple of pieces of toast smothered in fried mushrooms ... to bed hungry, I think.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
