It will work ABSOLUTELY! Wireless range expanders work by recieving the wireless signal and just "bouncing" it back. So unless you have a very specific - homemmade setup , it will absolutely work.

And since you have a linksys wireless G router , it is absolutely impossible for it not to work. Also about wireless routers , you can improve the range of your current router by putting it as high as possible in your house. Putting it over 5 feet of height , will increase your coverage by around 25%.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
