What are some Patriotic Holidays?

Anzac Day in Australia is a public holiday based on the military exploits of Australia's soldiers in the First World War. As it was, they were landed on a pennisular in Turkey, fought a bitter and bloody campaign, and were eventually forced to withdraw so, in effect, a defeat is celebrated. Such was this ongoing battle that today, the Turks and Australians get together on what is now called by the Australians, Anzac Cove, for an international celebration which has aroused an awful lot of goodwill.

The old enemies are now friends....such is life.

Well to start with, I would name obviously say St PATRIics Day. What is a better PATRIotic Day. Being South African, would have to include, Founders Day or as it was called when I grew up, Van Riebeck Day.

Veteran's Day (Nov. 11)Fourth of July (July 4)Memorial Day (Last Monday of May)President's Day (3rd Monday in Feb. ).

In USA - this would be Oprah day, coming soon.!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
