No one could enter heaven until the sin debt was paid. THose who died in faith, awaiting God's coming Redeemer waited for Him in a place of comfort in Sheol, aka Hades, the place of the dead. http://www.gotquestions.org/before-Jesus... http://www.gotquestions.org/Old-Testamen...
Actually jesus did not die to protect "us" from our sins. That is why he brought christianity to earth. He died for the sins of those who died in sin before christianity was brought to earth.
We are and will always be responsible for that which we do in this life and the next. The church felt that their belief would sell better if they re-translated the bible to tell everyone that all sins of people not yet in existence are forgiven. So, where is the incentive to do good?
Think about it!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
