I have a fifteen year old Persian and picky..:@) I would buy the Organic mix and Newman's Own both a really good and they are Organic this means there are no added colors, flavors. They are free of any chemicals and pesticides by the natural way it is grown or raised. The organix is the dry food, that my boy can't eat.
We adopted him two years ago and shortly after we found out that he had a broken fang and his right side had to be pulled that is all but a few so that left us with wet food. We feed him Newman's own, he likes that and it's easier for him to eat. It's great that you have decided to switch, as a senior she needs a diet that is fitting to her age.
The foods I have mentioned provide the following benefits for your girl; Reduces skin problems and allergies Increases energy Helps weight control his stomach better processes the food his immune system is strengthened As I mentioned I have a fifteen year old Persian that is also picky, the foods I purchased and ultimately donated to the local shelter because he would not touch it. At least he likes Newman's Own, it was getting expensive trying to please him. S activity has increased, his weight seems to have stabilized.
We just adopted another sweetheart she is one also a Persian, she keeps the boy fairly active when he allows it..:@) I suggest feeding her raw steak and chicken every now and then. Our boy loves this special treat looking forward to it once a week. You do not have to cook it either, feed it to them as if they had just made a kill.
The cooking of the meat takes much of the nutrients it has to offer your girl, I usually buy a steak and fresh chicken legs and chop or strip it into pieces freezing them until they are needed! I have yet to encounter cat dandruff so I had to search a little. The site I listed below seems to be a good sources of figuring out the dandruff problem.
This one gives you the chance to solve it cheaply before you make that decision to see the vet! http://ezinearticles.com/?Cat-Dandruff---3-Easy-Ways-To-Cure-Cat-Dandruff-At-Home-Without-Spending-A-Fortune-At-The-Vet&id=963063 These are the kids, boy 15yrs left and the little princess 1 yr..:@) Sources: PC 123 .
My 9 year old cat loves the Purina Indoor Diet and I also have bought him (all Purina) Urinary Tract Health, Dental Health, Senior with glucosamine etc. The variety of dry foor is so intense we end up not knowing what is the best to give them. Whatever he does not eat the squirrels get it........... they love it. This malayan cat also had serious dandruff when we adopted him.
It was on his back near the base of his tail and regular daily brushing took care of it, as per vet recommendation. As you brush, the sweat glands work releasing oils and eliminating the dandruff that is the sign of dry skin. We also have a bunch of old thick wash cloths that we wet with a little hot water, ring them and give the cat a good towel bath. He loves it and this takes off the kitty litter dust from from his fur.
I have bought the can Friskies senior diet. One day he liked the lamb and rice. Another day he made a "stinky face" and did not touch it.
He likes some of the Fancy Feast little cans, eats only a little usually lapping up only the sauce part. He is huge and weighs 17 lbs so I'm not worried......lump of love, we call him.
Here is What We Do Not much to do with can't dander, I suggest brushing, all my cats (4) have it, but brushing does lessen the problem. For dry food we give ours Purina, indoor and a urinary tract dry food, Mixed them together my older furry girls are 13 and 12, they seem to like it. But they get canned for breakfast and dinner that's the 3oz can, a teaspoon each, so sense of wasting it.It also helps with the dander, and the kibbles are there anytime they want to snack.
You should talk to your vet. I have my girl (12) on James Wellbeloved senior biscuits and also Omega 3 capsules, cut open and poured on any fish/meat I give her, that seems to have helped her dandruff. I also bought a brush/comb that got further into her long fur..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
