What is a good front loading washing machine/dryer for a 2nd floor that doesn't vibrate too bad? The floor is carpeted?

The floor is carpeted. Anyone have a Samsung Silvercare or Whirlpool Duet? I was told these brands have newer technology to help against vibration.

My Fridigaire is excellent, after three years. . .

I have had a Fridigaire front-loading washer with matching dryer for three years, so it may not be the latest technology. In fact I bought it just before the bases you stand them on came with drawers--mine are just bases to raise the appliances, without the nice storage space. I bought them during the school day, using P.E.Time to search the online big home stores, using lunch time to call the local appliance store to see what they had, calling back the local store during last recess to tell the local store to deliver the pair at 4 o'clock.So in the traditional sense, these were purchased sight unseen, but that is what the internet is for.

The local store beat the big home store prices without even being informed what those prices were, hooked up the new ones, and carried off the old ones. The Frigidaires are much less expensive than the other brands and have never had the mildew/mold/odor issues of the others (fully described in Consumer Reports). Mine work beautifully, quietly,and have dials instead of digital displays.

Both pieces will hold king-size bedding, throw rugs, dog beds, pillows, and are very energy and water efficient. They are not noisy, nor do they vibrate. Sources: Experience .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
